How to Play
Find the hidden visual connections
Choose four pictures that belong together, submit them as a group, then keep solving until all four groups are found.
Quick demo
Try one example group.
A correct set becomes one solved group. The real puzzle has 16 pictures and 4 hidden groups.
Basic rules
The goal is to form four groups of four pictures. Tap four image tiles, then press Submit. If the four pictures share the same hidden visual connection, that set is solved and moves above the board as a story panel.
You have four wrong-guess chances. Each new wrong guess fills one mistake circle. Repeating the exact same wrong guess does not cost another chance.
The puzzle ends when you solve all four groups or use all four chances. If you get stuck, the Hint button reveals image descriptions, but the category answers still remain hidden.
What counts as a connection?
A group can be tied together by what the pictures show, what they do, where they belong, or what they suggest.
How to read the emoji result
After the game, Visual Connections creates a spoiler-free emoji result. Each row is one submitted guess. If all four squares in a row match, that guess found a correct group.
What the colors mean
The colors identify the four hidden answer groups. They also roughly indicate puzzle difficulty after the answers are revealed.
Useful tips
- Start with the clearest group, then use the remaining images to test harder patterns.
- If an image seems to fit two ideas, leave it aside until another clue confirms the stronger group.
- Think visually first: shape, scene, use, symbol, and association often matter more than the object name.
