Commentary

May 12 keeps the board colorful and object-forward while adding a little visual wordplay. Sushi Bar is the friendliest entry point, with a sushi roll, chopsticks, soy sauce, and wasabi all belonging to the same counter scene. Sewing Kit asks players to gather small mending tools: needle, thread spool, button, and safety pin. Game Night is a familiar association, but it can cross wires with other round or handheld objects because dice, a token, a card, and a pawn are different kinds of game pieces. The hardest set is Things With Rings. A ringed planet, key ring, donut, and tape roll are not connected by use or setting. They are connected by the circular band each image makes visible.
