Commentary

May 15 mixes clear object categories with a final group based on what each object communicates visually. Sound Check gives the most direct entry point through guitar, microphone, headphones, and a vinyl record. Things That Hold asks players to notice function rather than setting: backpack, mailbox, laundry basket, and milk carton are all containers. Animal Clues is trickier because bird, lamb, rooster, and crab come from different environments, but each picture simply represents a creature. Time Marks closes the board with clock, hourglass, calendar page, and pocket watch, four different ways images make passing time visible.
